RD Infrastructure Engineer

Position Summary:
Philips develops Image Management solution that provides complete and scalable local and wide area Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solutions.
As part of the IT Team, you will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure that supports the Ra’anana site. In this position, you will be responsible for enabling the R&D
teams to meet their goals by delivering support for the development environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as part of IT support for internal and external stakeholders, including escalation management. 
2. Support and deliver IT infrastructure that supports 300 R&D team members. 
3. Maintain all aspects of the local datacenter including hardware, software, networking, storage, etc. 
   
4. Part of local help desk.
   
5. Evaluate new technologies relevant for the IT infrastructure implementation and strive for continuous improvement of services offered internally to further increase productivity.
6. Work with vendors and 3rd party suppliers.
7. Support various audits, including security-related audits.
   
8. Support the integration efforts with Philips Global IT. Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:
   
9. At least 5 years of experience in IT support R&D teams
   
10. ​To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and experience:
11. A Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
    
12. Strong and proven hands-on experience in defining installing and managing NAS & SAN storage, with a preference for Dell hardware.
    
13. Strong and proven hands-on experience in defining installing and managing DELL Hardware Servers and networks with a preference for Dell hardware.​
14. Extensive experience in installing, managing, and implementing Physical and VMWare clusters.
    
15. Experience with VMware, Network configuration, Storage Management, and Operating Systems. - must
    
16. Proven and strong hands-on experience as a system administrator - must.
    
17. Experience Windows-based platforms GPO, Active Directory, Security
    
18. Experience with Data Center maintenance, High Availability & Disaster Recovery,  Backup & Recovery strategies
    
19. Ability to work with multisite teams
    
20. Experience with PowerShell.
    
21. Strong communication skills (Fluent in English)​
